Announcements

  • Saturday, 21st – The Annual Men’s Stew will be cooked at the Shriner’s Club shed. You may pick up orders there around 2 p.m. – If you haven’t placed an order, please contact Dudley Barnes or one of the Men’s group members. The stew will be $8.00 per quart.
  • Tuesday, 24th – 6:00 p.m. – Worship Committee meeting in Historical Room; 7:00 p.m. – Choir practice
  • Wednesday, 25th – 12 noon prayer time
  • Thursday, 26th – Deadline for information for the November/December Newsletters
  • Saturday, 28th – Presbytery meets at First Presbyterian Church in Goldsboro…Walter Gould will serve as commissioner and Ellen will accompany him as member at large.

 

  • This month’s mission project continues for 2 more Sundays – UNICEF…please make checks payable to OPC, memo – unicef.
  • The Angel Tree chart is in the Fellowship Hall for you to sign up to sponsor and ‘angel’, either a needy child or senior citizen or you may submit a name of someone you know in need.
  • We are still collecting 4-pack packages of toilet tissue for ACIM.

Prayers continue for those on our weekly prayer list – and this week, add Alan and the others going on the Youth Retreat for the week-end.

Happy Birthday to – Mark Hamilton, 24th. A Happy Belated Birthday to Mikael Koeneke on the 16th. Sorry he was left off the list last week.
