Announcements

  • Incoming Elders for the Class of 2020 will be installed – Paul Shelton at the 8:08 service; Judy Miller and Jim Ingram at the 11:00 service
  • Following the 2nd service, there will be a reception in the Fellowship Hall to honor these and also honoring Lindsay Miller and Jim Ingram, outgoing Elders (Jim will be taking on a 2nd term); also honoring our newest members to the OPC Family – Randy Downey and Blake Hightower.
  • Sunday is last day to order poinsettias for Christmas display in the sanctuary. Price of each – $11.50 and make checks payable to Carol Barnes. Forms are at each front entrance.
  • Missions – Thanks to all who gave so generously to the ACIM food collection over the past 3 weeks. We continue to accept non-perishable food items to be placed in the basket in the hall at the back door as we do this mission year round. We are in the process of participating in the “Angel Tree” mission. If you haven’t picked up your ‘angel’ information, please do so and bring gifts back by December 10. During the month of December, we collect for our traditional mission of the Christmas Joy Gift Offering. Please make checks payable to OPC, with memo – Joy Offering.
  • Christmas Program – December 10. If your child/grandchild would like to participate, please see or call  Ellen Gould ! Practice begins Saturday (11/25) and also on Sunday during Sunday School (11/26)
  • Choir practice – Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
  • Noon Prayer time – Wednesday
  • Communion will be served – Sunday, Dec. 3

There are still a few quarts of stew available for sale. Please contact Dudley Barnes, Jim Ingram, or the church office.

Prayers continue for those on our weekly prayer list – Sue Huggins, Ann Currin, Dottie Price, Pete Strother, John Newell, Linda Diamond, Fred Heath, Isabella Baird, Hannah Hobgood  and others you may know.
