Mission of the month – Our November mission emphasis is ACIM. It has plenty of fresh things, but really needs canned goods: vegetables, meats, beans, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, pasta, and spaghetti sauce. Our PW Circle is COLLECTING SOCKS (in great demand) for the ACIM needy, socks of any size, style, or color. You can put your sock donations in containers which are in the Fellowship Hall or at each door.

Calling all kids to Advent! This year our children’s Advent program will come in 4 parts. Each Sunday (December 1,8,15,22) the kids will present the Children’s Sermon with readings and music. If you want to lead this part of worship at the 11:00 service, we will practice and rehearse during Sunday School (9:45-10:30). If you want to participate during the 8:08 service, please call Ellen 919-691-7582. Let’s get together to learn and celebrate the coming of our Lord.

“You visit the earth and water it,
you greatly enrich it;
the river of God is full of water;
you provide the people with grain,
for so you have prepared it.
You water its furrows abundantly,
settling its ridges,
softening it with showers,
and blessing its growth.
You crown the year with your bounty;
your wagon tracks overflow with richness.
The pastures of the wilderness overflow,
the hills gird themselves with joy,
the meadows clothe themselves with flocks,
the valleys deck themselves with grain,
they shout and sing together for joy.” (Psalm 65:9-13 NRSV)
