The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on December 22, 2019 at the Gentry-Newell & Vaughan Funeral Home.

Calling all kids to Advent! This year our children’s Advent program will come in 4 parts. Each Sunday (December 1,8,15,22) the kids will present the Children’s Sermon with readings and music. If you want to lead this part of worship at the 11:00 service, we will practice and rehearse during Sunday School (9:45-10:30). If you want to participate during the 8:08 service, please call Ellen 919-691-7582. Let’s get together to learn and celebrate the coming of our Lord.
Our choir will preform a Christmas concert during our 11 a.m. worship service. Please come and enjoy a tremendous gift and blessing!

“How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the messenger who announces peace,
who brings good news,
who announces salvation,
who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’
Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices,
together they sing for joy;
for in plain sight they see
the return of the LORD to Zion.
Break forth together into singing,
you ruins of Jerusalem;
for the LORD has comforted his people,
he has redeemed Jerusalem.
The LORD has bared his holy arm
before the eyes of all the nations;
and all the ends of the earth shall see
the salvation of our God.” (Isaiah 53:7-10 NRSV)
